Looking for a house rewire in Milton Keynes? We cover the whole city, from the old towns of Stony Stratford, Wolverton, Newport Pagnell and Bletchley to the grid-square estates.
Many Milton Keynes homes were built in the 1970s and 80s. Lots of them still have the wiring they were built with. After 40 years or more, that often means an old fuse box, too few sockets and nowhere near the power a modern home uses.
We plan the job with you room by room and give you one fixed price in writing. We protect your floors, keep the mess down and test every circuit at the end. As NAPIT members we tell Building Control for you.
Old towns and new estates
A Victorian terrace in Wolverton needs a different plan to a 1980s estate house. We plan each one properly.
Sockets where you need them
A rewire is the best time to add sockets, USB points and outside power. We plan them in from the start.
Tested and signed off
Every circuit tested to the current wiring regulations and notified to Building Control through our NAPIT registration.
Your questions, answered
How much does a house rewire cost in Milton Keynes?
A full rewire of a typical 3 bed house in Milton Keynes costs £4,000 to £8,000. It depends on the size of the house and how easy it is to reach under the floors and in the loft. We look first and give you one fixed price in writing.
Does my Milton Keynes house need a rewire?
Signs include an old fuse box with wire fuses, rubber or fabric-covered cables, sockets that get warm and too few sockets in each room. An EICR tells you for sure. We'll never sell you a rewire you don't need.
Can we live at home during the rewire?
Usually yes. We work room by room and get the power back on at night where we can. Most 3 bed houses take one to two weeks.
Do you cover all of Milton Keynes?
Yes. We cover the whole city, including Stony Stratford, Wolverton, Newport Pagnell, Bletchley, Olney and the villages around them.
